In 2021, Michelle joined Colnbrook Primary school as a governor. Michelle is a mother of two children, and has been working within the public and private sector of childcare and teaching, all her adult life. In the last 8 years, Michelle has worked in the charity sector. Michelle’s role now is concentrating on improving the chances of children, by offering friendship and support to families in the local community. She is passionate about Safeguarding children and adults, and can empathise and see the importance of supporting others to create a safe, caring environment where children are taught to be resilient and confident. Michelle believes with honest caring adults that truly listen and take time to adjust practice to meet all children's needs, we can make a real difference to the young people in our community. |

Ex-officio | Tom has worked in education for more than a decade, after completing an undergraduate degree in Theology and Religion and a postgraduate degree in education. He has held a number of roles in schools including class teacher in several year groups, SENDCo and Deputy Headteacher. In addition, he has completed work for a local authority, helping to improve other local schools, and he currently serves on the governing board of a Slough secondary school. Tom joined Colnbrook Primary School in September 2020 as Headteacher and he is passionate about enabling all children to achieve their potential. In his spare time he enjoys travelling around the world as well as walking his dog. | |

10/06/2024 - 09/06/2025 | Khushy has worked in education since 2011. She originally started out as a secondary school teacher specialising in Computing, Maths and Business up to KS5. After working in different school settings in West London and Slough, Khushy transitioned into primary education. Khushy joined Colnbrook C of E Primary School in April 2019 and has since worked up to undertake the Assistant Headteacher role in September 2022. Khushy currently leads Maths and Computing and holds responsibility for the pastoral support of children at Colnbrook Primary, whilst leading assessment across the wider school. Khushy believes that all children have a right to an equitable education in a school where individual needs are met so that children feel safe and can thrive. In her spare time, Khushy enjoys travelling, trying new experiences and spending time with her young son. | |

Moji has over 17 years' experience working in governance from various organisations in the private and not for profit sectors. She is passionate about continuous development and diversity, equity and inclusion. Her hobbies are; travelling, and researching about new things, particularly culture and current affairs. |

With over 20 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and team leadership across various sectors, I bring a wealth of transferable skills to my role as a School Governor. My background in managing complex recruitment processes, building strong relationships, and ensuring high-quality outcomes will allow me to contribute to the school's strategic goals, particularly in areas such as staffing, policies, and ensuring that the school has the right talent in place to support its educational mission. My experience in overseeing large-scale programs, managing service level agreements, and delivering training and development initiatives will enable me to provide valuable insights into improving processes and ensuring that the school’s practices are aligned with its goals and values. In addition to my recruitment expertise, I have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, which are critical in supporting the Headteacher and senior leadership team. As a governor, I am committed to ensuring that the school operates effectively, promotes a positive learning environment, and maintains high standards in recruitment and staff development. My ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage projects effectively will support the school’s continuous improvement, helping to drive the best outcomes for both staff and students. With my experience in producing reports, analysing data, and fostering positive relationships, I will contribute to the school’s governance by ensuring strategic decisions are informed, balanced, and aligned with the school’s long-term objectives. |

Dawn previously worked within the legal sector as part of the law enforcement team with the Metropolitan Police Service for several years and is also a trained paralegal. Dawn joined the education sector in 2005 and qualified initially as a Teaching assistant (TA) and shortly after as a Higher Level Teaching assistant ( HLTA); she supported and taught a variety of subjects predominantly to children with special educational needs and disabilities( SEND) across a range of age groups for over 15 years. Additionally, she has worked in different schools and colleges in West London and held a number of positions some of which have been as a Progress coach and Tutor. When employed as a Tutor she taught post -16 students (FE) which were studying the following courses: Access to higher education diploma in Law and Criminology/ Level 3 diploma in Childcare. Dawn believes that all children/ young people with no exceptions should be aided, supported and encouraged to achieve academic and personal success in an educational setting which is endorsed by the school or institution. Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, attending live music events and travelling abroad. |

She has held senior positions in higher education and has an MSc in Education and Social Change from the University of London, specialising in comparative and international education. She is looking forward to working as a Governor at Colnbrook Primary School and using her background skills whilst working with Ofsted to ensure success. Sarah is enthusiastic about reading and believes it is one of the indicators of a child's future success. Sarah loves animals and the outdoors, when not at work you'll find her riding, snowboarding or practising ring craft with her two dogs (one is currently training to be PAT qualified). | |

I enjoy being sociable and family-focused, and I always strive to create a welcoming atmosphere. Fairness is important to me, and I took on this role to help our school grow and support every child. My aim is to make sure all children have the opportunities they need to succeed. | |
Amandeep Bharj | Associate Governor | 27/06/2024 - 26/06/2025 | Amy started her teaching career in a large Hounslow primary school. She joined Colnbrook C of E Primary School in January 2016 as a class teacher and part of the senior leadership team. She has led English since then, and has also worked with Slough Borough Council as Key Stage 2 writing moderator. She became an Assistant Headteacher in September 2020, with more of a wider role including leading the curriculum across the school. Amy advocates for all children to have their own voice and motivation to achieve the best they can. She spends her spare time with her two young daughters. | |
